Vamos is tucked away just a few kilometres inland from Kalives offering dramatic views of the White Mountains. Vamos has recently hit headlines due to the recent renovations taking place in the village.
The Vamos Preservation Society has undertaken a restoration project among the oldest of the village houses, some dating back hundreds of years to the Turkish and Venetian times. This helps to create its traditional rural feel and a stroll along this pretty village will bring many rewards. However, Vamos is also a working village and you are just as likely to bump into a shepherd with his flock of sheep as you are a tourist.
